Amid a relatively quiet release year marked by the mini-hit “Baby Shark” and an appearance on Red Bull Mazzika Salonat, Egyptian rapper Ziad Zaza has dropped his second solo track of the year, “Banaty,” reuniting with frequent production collaborator Omar Keif.
The track lands in a year crowded with sing-songy, autotune-heavy releases, cutting through the R&B haze with straight-up rap and hints of drill. Riding a hard-driving beat, “Banaty” throws Ziad Zaza right into his brutish delivery and raw, rugged flow from the first bar.
The release comes as part of a collaboration with Monster Energy. While commercial tie-ins have long been ingrained in Egyptian rap’s DNA, this pairing feels especially fitting, with the track’s head-banging force matching the jolt an energy drink promises.
