Kordofani, the Cairo-based Sudanese rapper known for tracks like “Joa Lake,” and “Shagyan,” has just released his latest single, “Kabasayba.”
Occupying two sonic territories at once, “Kabasayba” blends hip-hop foundations with production that leans away from conventional rap, incorporating afro-house percussion, and club-driven momentum.
Across the three-minute track, Kordofani continuously shifts between higher and lower pitches depending on the energy of each bar, leaning into familiar swagger-driven themes and aesthetics.
Recently, Kordofani joined RAAD Records and introduced a new chapter with “Judo,” a release that already hinted at a different production direction through Brazilian-inspired rhythms and influences. “Kabasayba” arrives as a continuation of that experimental phase, further pushing his sound beyond familiar territory.
