With a rich global journey, Katy Tunbridge blends alternative pop, reggae and contemporary rock into her unique sound.

A Musical Journey Across Continents

Katy Tunbridge is a rare breed of artist, effortlessly blending her multifaceted talents across continents and genres. Born in Australia and seasoned in the sprawling metropolises of New York and Los Angeles, Tunbridge is a musical chameleon whose sound reflects the eclectic journey she’s been on for over three decades.

Collaborating with World-Class Musicians

Tunbridge’s career has always been about the blend—whether it’s alt-pop, soul, or reggae, her music defies easy categorization. Think The Beatles meet Sting, with a dash of Joss Stone’s soulful resonance. But Tunbridge doesn’t stop there. Her upcoming album, “Skin Deep” promises to be a bold step forward. Teaming up with Grammy-nominated producer Billy Smiley in the hallowed halls of Nashville’s Sound Kitchen Studios, she has crafted an album that fuses rock, pop, and soul with hints of contemporary country. Recorded last year at The Sound Kitchen, Peter Frampton’s Studio, and The Castle, “Skin Deep” is set for release on October 11th. The album features top session players from Nashville, including Gary Lunn (Dolly Parton, Billy Ray Cyrus), Blair Masters (Peter Frampton, Garth Brooks), Dan Needham (Michael McDonald, Chicago), Jonathan Crone (Mat Kearney, BeBe & CeCe Winans), and Tom Hemby (Amy Grant).

Bringing Art and Music Together

The album cover art is drawn by iconic comic book artist Steve Rude, adding another layer of creative depth to Tunbridge’s vision. She recently visited Rude’s studio in Arizona and made a guest appearance on his YouTube live, where he introduced her written comic book, “You’re My Superhero.” The comic, tied to her song “Superhero” celebrates everyday heroes and demonstrates Katy’s storytelling abilities across multiple mediums.
